Water falls from the Hand into a lake below. This water is central to Godshand’s importance as an oasis and a stop on a desert trading route.

An unexplained source

The water seems to come from nowhere. The early worldbuilding notes call its destination a lake of nothing, but do not explain that phrase or establish the lake’s depth, drainage, or physical properties. The Hand’s growing fingers and recurring eclipses add to the landmark’s mysteries.

Beneath the lake and mountain

During The Great Popcorn Disappearance, RoBeert’s vision suggests a connection between the strange metal corn object, the ritual in the cornfield, the Hand, and something beneath the lake and mountain.

He withdraws before the responsible entity can see him. The vision provides a possible link to the farm’s corruption, without confirming the identity of the presence or how the water is involved.
