The war of Suriel and Nerigoth and the subsequent rampage of Alera put an immediate end to all enmities before the continent plunged into complete destruction. As the people focused on rebuilding and managing the areas from the destruction, relocation of people, land ownership and taking stock of the history that unfolded, new conflicts arose.
The kingdom established itself as the main political power throughout the land. The dwarves were relocated to the regions near their destroyed ancestral home, while the elves returned to tend to their forest. Much to the dislike of the native halflings, the dwarves have started establishing their trade, mining and building. Many of the elves have gone into a slumber called the “Crossing” that allowed their essence to cross to another plane.
The people of Night’s Reach slowly started to change, becoming more attuned to those who have passed and the darkness of their region. West of Night’s Reach, the tieflings have demanded new lands from the kingdom. There is only so much to go around according to the kingdom and they have been kept in the wastes. Their appearance doesn’t help with their integration.
A New threat rose in the east and has changed the land. Magnar announced to the world through their broadcasted voice that they were the inheritor of both the will of Suriel and Nerigoth and that they have the means to create pure beings. The volcano of mount Arioch was erected just afterwards and the newly born Pyreborn elementals poured into the world. An alliance between the Empyrean Guard and forces of the Kingdom under the name of the Obsidian Army contained the advance of Magnar’s forces.
This was the first and last time that the skyship Atmos, manned by the dragonborn was seen as well as the use of their firearms.
