There is an understanding that some Gods are newer than others. Something about cycles, difficult to peer through. When one dies, the soul departs on a journey guided by Light and then the soul may choose to be dissipated and forgotten or fuel the Gods so that they may be empowered to keep on guiding the people. The process of creation of new souls is unknown. Maybe we are reborn? Maybe new souls crystallize in us? Maybe the Gods push into us the material necessary to make up a soul?

Dragons exist as singular entities. There is exactly 1 Red Dragon, 1 Gold Dragon and so on. They do grow in time and some records exist of smaller and larger dragons of different kinds and size. There seems to have always been dragons going around. It has been impossible to get an answer from the known friendly dragons about this topic. We may not even know how many types of dragons exist.

People do not generally make their lives around religion, but everyone is acutely aware of the gods and their champions/saints. One may pray to them so that they may sway things in their favor. It is said that some artifacts and relics of the time when the gods roamed the land can still be found out there. Some try to claim them for their powers, others to return them to the church they belong to.
In the Empire, dragons are revered as guides and carry usually a status similar to saints. Some dragons that try to disrupt the order of things, as their ambitions would sometimes have it, are seen as a nuisance and will be killed only for another dragon of the same kind to appear some years later.
