Shinebright is an elven transmutation wizard rescued by Crimp Padfoot, RoBeert, Peter Copperpot, and Liana during Wild Sheep Chase. The campaign timeline records his name as Finebrith Shinebright.
Rescue and compensation
The party helps him return from sheep form to his elven body a few weeks before the Hand Debate. Gus and Noke, identified in the timeline as having committed the crime, both survive.
After pressing their rescuee for compensation, the party receives 100 gold pieces per person, favors, influence, and firebreathing potions. The opening of The Great Popcorn Disappearance records Crimp gaining a bonus to interactions with mages on mage business, Liana receiving four firebreathing potions, and Peter seeking a possible future favor.
Continuing connections
His rescue and the negotiated rewards give the party an ongoing connection to a local wizard. The notes describe him as having fallen out of style, but do not explain his reputation, his home, or how his surviving adversaries respond afterward.
