Dwarves have been displaced to the western side of the continent, mostly in the Valor lands, Midlands, Fleurian Grasslands and Tempest Headlands. They typically follow worship of Nerigoth even though no cleric of Nerigoth has ever been able to perform the magic of old since the “cleansing” of Xavian. They are entrepreneuring and audacious.

Elves/half elves are very few these days. Many have left this plane for another less violent. It is a one-way trip as none have come back. The ones who remain tend to Tor’Enveilun, the Ancestral Forest from which it is thought they were born or are fervent fighters in the Obsidian army that fight Magnar’s forces.

Tiefling, also called Cursed-people, are the people who can trace their ancestry to the armies or bystanders who lived in the Shattered Lands at the time of Alera’s curse. These people have been asking for generations to be given a piece of land by the Kingdom of Soleria in order to thrive after their service to the crown during the God War.

Gnomes live on the eastern parts of the Kingdom. They boast the oldest structures of this continent and the local historians and clerical order posit that they are linked in a particular way to the gods.

Dragonborn are the humanoids chosen by the dragons who did not participate in the God War. They were gifted with knowledge of technology that goes beyond what is taught in the lowlands. During the containment of Magnar’s expansion, a single gigantic skyship was seen as well as the use of firearms.

Halflings are the people originally living in the western part of the continent. They see the arrival of the dwarves and their life-style of innovation and progress as opposing their traditionalist way-of-life. Traditionally, they are followers of Suriel.

Genasi are invariably people who follow Magnar and make up most of his armies.

Goliath are the descendants of the soldiers who retreated when the Silver Wardens mountain chain were raised. They usually keep to themselves.

Orcs/half orcs are descendants of Xavian’s army when he “cleansed” the halls of the dwarves. They are touched by the radiance of the shattering of the glaive of light and all have invariably red-toned skin complexion.

Shadar-kai/drow/duergar/snirfneblin/dark human (human with mark of passage flavored as ghostly, removing intuitive motion and adding darkvision instead). All these races are renamed under (Night touched). These are the people who live in Night’s Reach.
