The human kingdom used to watch for the return of Suriel and his phoenix, Omael. After the centuries have passed, there has been no sign of Omael’s return to his perch (in the Shattered Lands). And suddenly, the Lightwell, long seen as Suriel’s remaining presence and watchful eye over the world, has gone dark.
