Ancestries
The order of things:
Because of the implications of the reincarnation process, some races are more “pure” and valued as a whole. As such, they usually have access to higher statuses in society. The purity of one’s soul is measured as how attached to the corporeal body it is. The higher you are on the echelon, the more enlightened the soul is thought to be.
Ancestries in order of how much they are valued within the system of reincarnation belief from most valued to least valued:
- Genasi/Aasimar
- Humans
- Halfling/Gnome
- Dwarves
- Dragonborn
- Half-orc
- Tiefling
- Orcs and Goblinoids
- Elves:
- Drow/Shadar-kai
- Others: They can’t dream and occupy the lower castes of society. Their dreamless situation gives even more credence to the thought that they are not blessed by Heaven.
